If you are one of our many customers with an active TNSR subscription, you may see renewal emails or phone calls coming your way. A current TNSR subscription allows access to crucial software updates and entitles your team to reliable 24x7x365 support from the Netgate Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
TNSR licensing needs to be renewed annually to ensure access to new features, critical updates, bug and vulnerability fixes, and continued TAC assistance. Don't wait until the last minute. Act now!

pfSense Plus Software in the Cloud: A Solution to Chip Shortages
In case you missed our blog on May 23, 2022, we discussed how a pfSense Plus cloud solution can help minimize some of the impact of chip shortages in many parts of the tech industry. In addition to chip shortages, prices are skyrocketing for some of the chips that are available.
Using pfSense Plus software in the cloud can help mitigate the impact of chip shortages and inflation. Esther Cheng, our new Director of Marketing and Cloud Products worked with Max Leighton, one of our cloud experts, to identify some strategies to help you create or enhance your use of pfSense Plus software in the cloud.

pfSense Plus Software BETA version 22.05 is now Available for Testing
As we approach the release of pfSense Plus 22.05, we've made BETA versions available for testing. Many of you have already been testing and responding. We appreciate all of the feedback we receive, and we know more testing makes a more robust product. Thank you to everyone participating!

You hear it all the time in the tech industry: backup, backup, backup. With pfSense software, we've made that easy by using Automatic Configuration Backup (AutoConfigBackup, or ACB for short). You can set it up one time, and the software automatically makes an encrypted backup anytime the configuration changes.
The pfSense software documentation provides full details on AutoConfigBackup. The documentation also has a lot of other useful information and tips for best practices. Be sure to look around while you're in there.
The new Netgate 4100/6100 Rack Mount Kit was engineered to ensure the same reliable desktop system performance in a rack installation. A bottom cutout in the rack mount allows critical airflow to the integrated chassis heatsink and maintains a 1U rack height.
With all the good news we love to share, occasionally there's some bad news. Because of the current global conditions, we've been forced to raise the prices on certain accessories. System prices remain unchanged.
We're continually monitoring the market and supply chain issues. Our goal is always to provide competitive products at the lowest cost possible. We'll let you know if other changes are required, and we look forward to a time when pricing updates can include lowering prices!

With upcoming releases of both pfSense Plus and TNSR software, here's an important reminder to backup your system before you upgrade. We try to make the upgrades seamless, so it might be easy to get complacent about backing up your system configuration before performing your upgrade.
We test extensively, but we can't test for every possible configuration, and your particular use case might be the one that we didn't account for.
Backing up is like insurance. You never need it until you do. We hope you never need it, but just to be sure...make a backup.
