Important Zanata Translator Announcement

Greetings,

If you are one of our 400+ pfSense® translators, we want to make you aware of an important change.

Earlier this year, RedHat redeployed the personnel that develop and maintain Zanata. We haven’t seen an official statement, but the future of Zanata appears uncertain. The Zanata email group, where users and developers requested help or exchanged comments, has gone dark.

We want to make sure the valued work of pfSense translators continues for the good of the worldwide user community. To that end, Netgate has set up a new instance of Zanata, specifically for pfSense, in our data center. It is fully up to date with all existing and in-progress translations migrated from the RedHat-based Zanata system, and can be found at zanata.netgate.com

Unfortunately, there is no way for us to contact translators directly. Our translators’ current use of Zanata is associated to RedHat, not Netgate. So, we are inviting all pfSense translators to register at our new site. Please visit https://info.netgate.com/zanata-translator and simply enter your email address, preferred username, and the language(s) to which you translate

Thank you again for your time, expertise, and effort to extend Netgate documentation into other languages. We look forward to the continued relationship!

Sincerely,
Netgate
